Use the lesson plan outline and
the associated pages you were given this week as resources. The
students should
be assigned homework each day. The lesson plan should be for a single
45-minute
class. The second day's lesson can be summarized in a paragraph or two
(not a
second lesson plan), but you should include the assignment for that day
as
well. Any pages or materials that you refer to need to be developed for
the
lesson should be included with the plan. For purposes of this lesson we
will
assume that computers are not available, but you have access to
whatever
manipulatives or other materials that you need including graphing
calculators.
You should use the new state standards (NYS Core Curriculum Pre-K to
Grade 12
link on course webpage) when writing your objectives despite the Math A
example
in #4 on the outline. Lastly, the lesson should conform to the vision
of
mathematics teaching that we have been discussing and experiencing
throughout
the semester.
