1. Complete Investigation 4, #1, 2, 5 from the Contemporary Mathematics in Context (Core-Plus) textbook.  Use your graphing calculator where it suggests to and be sure to answer all parts (a-d) in 1 and 2. Before working on #5, read the paragraphs above the problem that begin with, "In activities 1-4..."
2. Read chapter 3 in Every Minute Counts (the required text for the course).  Many aspects of this chapter deal with daily activities in a classroom setting.  Write 1 - 2 pages discussing aspects of the reading that you considered relevant to your teaching at Lafayette.
