1. Complete the readings from Disciplinary Interventions (p. 41 - 43 and p. 49 - 64). Be prepared to discuss your thoughts on Thursday.

2. To prepare for your lesson presentation, I would like to discuss a video of a teacher teaching a lesson from the Connected Mathematics Project. It is available at http://mmmproject.org/ls/mainframeS.htm.  View the segments (you need to have high speed internet access) and evaluate the lesson based on the scoring guide handed out in class. This will take approximately half of an hour. Before you begin watching, it might be helpful to complete the activity sheet titled Looking for squares (p. 18 - 20).
