Assignment #3

1.  The research study on ability grouping describes 3 studies carried out to explore the effect of grouping on achievement and teacher attitude. Dr. Kibby's questions to guide the reading of research continue on from the research problem to the design with a series of questions about the dependent variable(s) (i.e., response variable), independent variable(s) (i.e., explanatory variable) and sample. Please respond to the questions regarding the design and methodology for each study and submit that by Tuesday so we can discuss your work on Wednesday. Please make notes regarding the Research Problem and Kibby's four related questions so we my discuss those together.

2. I would like to begin working toward your project in the next week or two, so in preparation, please read a recently completed project on opportunities for teacher collaboration. We'll discuss this in class next time.
