1. Read the excerpt from Chapter 1 of Brahier's text on teaching mathematics (pp 10-25).  This section highlights some of the significant moments in the reform efforts that have been underway since the 1980's as well as highlighting aspects of the common core and problem solving. This good quiz material. :-)

2. Read the Vignette Analysis Activity handout and respond to questions 1-3 at the end in a Word document or equivalent. Please email that to me prior to class. This vignette focuses on SMP #2 so reread that to get started.

3. Complete the PEA problem set #2.
