1. Read the introduction to Jo Boaler's book Mathematical Mindsets.

2. Read chapter 1 from our course textbook Teaching Mathematics in Grades 6 -12 by Randall Groth.

3. Complete the Exeter problems distributed in class.

For MED 300:
We need to look ahead to lessons 2 -5 in unit one to determine what needs to be copied. I have been making the copies but I’ll hand off that to you shortly. 
Planning ahead- lessons 1-5 in grade 7, Unit 1 for Ms. Littles class; Gr 7 Unit 5 and Gr 8 Unit 8 for Mrs. MacVittie's class
Journal #1- select one topic from your opening days with teachers- (superintendent- Mary Morris, principal- Micah Hanford asst, principal Beth Zaccharine, Marcia Tate) and a second that focuses on the first week in the classroom.
